Timeless hits, dining deals, hilarious musical comedy, a powerful Oscar-nominated frontrunner and stand-up comedy are among events to keep on your radar this weekend.

1.“The Music of Tony Bennett”

When: Jan. 31-Feb. 1; 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday

Where: Schuster Center, 1 W. Second St., Dayton

Details: Celebrate the music and legacy of one of America’s most iconic singers. This Dayton Philharmonic SuperPops concert features three guest vocalists and a multimedia display of images and videos from throughout Bennett’s 60-plus year career. Program contains such classics as “I Left My Heart in San Francisco,” “The Lady is a Tramp” “The Best is Yet to Come,” “Over the Rainbow” and more.

2.Winter Restaurant Week

When: Through Feb. 2

Where: Nearly 40 participating restaurants in the Dayton region.

Details: Each restaurant will offer a special curated menu featuring multiple courses for one price or a meal deal for two people. Many restaurants will offer a lunch deal during as well.

Cost: Meals start at $20.25 and $1 from every meal sold will be donated to a nonprofit.

3. “Three Tenors, Encore!”

When: 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb 2

Where: Schuster Center, 1 W. Second St., Dayton

Details: Dayton Opera salutes the fun, magic and expertise of the iconic 1990 Rome debut of The Three Tenors. Stepping into the legendary shoes of José Carreras, Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti 35 years later are tenors Moisés Salazar, Robert Stahley and Matthew White. Dayton native and University of Dayton alum Howard Watkins serves as musical director/pianist. The program will include selections from such classic works as “Carmen,” “Rigoletto,” “Tosca,” “Turandot” (best known for “Nessun dorma”) and “West Side Story.”

4. “Avenue Q”

When: Through Feb. 9; 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays

Where: Dayton Playhouse, 1301 E. Siebenthaler Ave., Dayton

Details: Ray Gambrel directs a charming, funny and tender production of this Tony Award-winning, R-rated musical comedy about friendship and forgiveness that brings humans and puppets together with irreverent, “Sesame Street”-esque glee. In addition to a breakthrough portrayal by Sarah Roddey as Kate Monster, delivering a wonderfully heartfelt rendition of Act 1 finale “There’s a Fine, Fine, Line,” Hairong Gu, conveying the exasperated Christmas Eve with humorous grace, turns “The More You Ruv Someone” into a skillful torch song complete with dramatic fan reveal. Musical director Lorri Topping’s expert leadership of the orchestra, Sean Mayo’s set and Richard Lee Waldeck’s lighting are also notable.

5. “The Brutalist”

When: Screenings vary.

Where: The Neon, 130 E. Fifth St., Dayton

Details: Nominated for 10 Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director, this epic drama concerns a Holocaust survivor attempting to pursue his American dream in 1940s Pennsylvania. Adrien Brody is marvelously flawed as the emotionally scarred, visionary architect László Tóth, whose life changes in unexpected ways when he becomes the object of admiration for a wealthy industrialist (Guy Pearce). After a 15-minute intermission, the film completely kicks into another gear when Felicity Jones arrives as László‘s wife, leading to a fascinating turn of events both harrowing and heartbreaking.

6. Naturally 7

Where: Arbogast Performing Arts Center, 500 S. Dorset Road, Troy

Details: Back by popular demand, Naturally 7 returns to the APAC with their a cappella sound that is so unique, they have coined the phrase “Vocal Play.” Using only the sounds of their voices, they will have you convinced a full 7-piece band is onstage as these outstanding vocalists deliver your favorites from rock to folk to R&B to soul.

7.Natalie Cressman & Ian Faquini

Where: Brightside Music & Event Venue, 905 E. 3rd St., Dayton

Details: Trombonist Natalie Cressman and guitarist/vocalist Ian Faquini will deliver an intimate evening of jazz. Their collaboration draws from influences such as samba, bossa nova and European classical music. Eleanor Dakota, singer for local jazz project crabswithoutlegs, will also perform.

8. Family Skate: A Night at the Theater!

When: 7-10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31

Where: RiverScape MetroPark, 237. E. Monument Ave., Dayton

Details: Skate to music inspired by Broadway tunes.

Cost: $7. Visitors can rent ice skates for $3. Children 3 years old and under are free with a paying adult. There is no charge for those who are not skating.

9. Deray Davis

Details: Comedian-turned-actor DeRay Davis has been seen on “Empire,” “The Fog,” “License to Wed,” “Semi-Pro,” “21 Jump Street,”“G.I. Joe: Retaliation” and “Snowfall” among others. He’s also been seen on Nick Cannon’s “Wild n Out” and his Netflix special “DeRay Davis: How to Act Black.”
